Questions and answers
Do I have to replace my EHR?
No replacement is built into this service. I discuss the EHR, practice management system, clearinghouse, and payer portals you already use. Authorized access and responsibilities are agreed before work begins. The Minds Unraveled client portal supports our work together; it is not an EHR.
What kinds of practices do you work with?
Medical, dental, allied health and therapy, and behavioral health practices, from solo providers to growing clinical teams, in Indiana and Kentucky. Other outpatient specialties, such as optometry, ophthalmology, sleep medicine, wound care, and infusion practices, are welcome to discuss their needs.
Can I get help with only one part of the work?
Yes. Start with the area you need help with, such as payer enrollment, billing follow-up, or recurring administration. The proposed scope identifies what I will handle and what stays with your practice.
How is pricing determined?
The quote depends on the services, practice size, providers and payers involved, current workflow, and the amount of outstanding work. A defined project and ongoing support need different scopes. I review the proposed price and responsibilities with you before you sign an agreement.
Does every payer have the same enrollment requirements?
No. Commercial plans, Medicaid, and Medicare each set their own applications and requirements, and some rely on a CAQH profile. Credentialing planning reviews what each payer needs for your providers, and the agreed scope defines which applications I prepare and follow up on. Payers make the final decisions and set their own timelines.
How long does credentialing take?
The timeline depends on the payer, application requirements, provider information, and response times. I can help organize and follow up on the application, but I cannot guarantee a payer decision, acceptance, or effective date. I discuss known deadlines and open dependencies with you during planning.
What should a new practice plan before billing begins?
Start with payer enrollment: many payers require each provider to be enrolled or in network before claims are paid as in-network, and requirements differ by payer. Then plan which payers you will accept, the EHR or practice management system you use or have chosen, and who owns each billing responsibility. The agreed scope defines which tasks I handle.
Can you help if I am changing billing support?
A transition starts with a review of the current arrangement, access, outstanding work, and who is responsible for each handoff. The scope should address existing balances and ongoing work separately so neither is assumed to belong to someone else.
What will my practice still need to do?
Your practice provides accurate business and provider information, approves authorized system access, reviews required signatures, and answers questions that need a practice decision. The agreement and onboarding work plan clarify responsibilities.
How will I receive updates?
Current clients sign in to the Minds Unraveled client portal for shared updates, assigned forms, business documents, and requests. The communication schedule is agreed as part of your service setup.
What should I send with my first inquiry?
Your name, email, practice type and stage, and the areas where you need support are enough to start. A short description is optional. Do not include patient information, passwords, Social Security numbers, tax IDs, bank details, or documents.
